Historical chronology of the Italian air force with the description of almost 800 facts between 1784 and 1940. The known documents, postal and not, of each fact are catalogued here (postage stamps, aerogramme, cancellations, vignettes, postcards, prints, etc.). The introduction is a wide guide to aerophilately, completed by the multilingual list (Italian, French, English, German) of the airmail terms and of the air companies. It is a unique work of its kind, fundamental text of Italian aerophilatelythe, first one in Italy, that, gathering all the philatelic material about aeronautics from the origins, acquires an important historical value, as well as philatelic, and constitutes a proper history of flight in Italy.
