The volume includes over 300 pictures about the Campaign battled in Tunisia by the Italian Army between November 1942 and May 1943, divided into two main subjects; the operative and the logistic ones. The collection of the iconographic material is introduced by a historical synthesis of the main events occurred on the Tunisian Front, considered as the outpost of Europe, whose defence represented a strategic crux to avoid the air and sea superiority of the Allies.

With this volume, that follows the three previously published about "Sidi El Barrani", "Tobruk" and "El Alamein", the History Bureau has finished the re-elaborated version of the eight monographs, published immediately after war, relevant to the operations led by the Italian Army in North Africa from June 1940 to May 1943. Like the previous ones, also this work is not restricted to a technical and operative analysis of the operations - in this case related to the Tunisian theatre - but it extends the investigation field to the political-military aspects of both parts.
