The volume goes over the phases that led man to fly, from Leonardo da Vinci's theories up to the most daring inventions, often ended tragically. One chapter is dedicated to the chronicles of the circuit of Reims that preceded of a few days the one of Brescia. A hint is given to the moor and to the sport activities organized in a fervour of novelties for the town of Brescia, culminated with the industrial exhibitions of 1904 first and of 1909 then.

A DVD is included in the book with the unique original film, 13 minute lasting, restored and set available for the occasion by the film archives of Bologna.
